Week 23 Update

Just when I thought it was safe to look at the table, (Big) Paul Grunstien has pulled away at the the top once again. It seems like there is no way of stopping him from retaining the title he won last season.

We had the idea recently that maybe we should do regular bonus points up until Christmas when the table is more fluid and then double bonus points every week after that when the table becomes more static. I think it might be interesting to try it up until the end of the season. IF YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS EITHER WAY ON THIS THEN EMAIL ME AND I'LL GO WITH THE MAJORITY.

It could shake things up a little and make for an interesting end to the season.

The Week Ahead

For the second time in recent weeks the fixture gurus have messed us about and we are voiding two more fixtures. We could find a work around but it would be more hassle programming it than it's worth so it's easier to just pretend they didn't happen. There is a Monday night game at Upton Park so the next update will be on Tuesday 17th March.

Here are the fixtures in full:

Arsenal
v
Blackburn Rovers
Sunderland
v
Wigan Athletic
Middlesbrough
v
Portsmouth
Manchester United
v
Liverpool
Hull City
v
Newcastle United
Everton
v
Stoke City
Bolton Wanderers
v
Fulham
Aston Villa
v
Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea
v
Manchester City
West Ham United
v
West Bromwich Albion

Leon & I will be at the Cottage on Saturday to watch the mighty whites cruise into the semi-finals of the FA Cup after an easy will over United. Getting hold of tickets was a bit of a drama but we managed it in the end and when Coventry dispose of Chelsea we'll be on our way to Wembley to face the Sky Blues. Come on, you've got to think positive.

Congratulations to John (MK) Wilson for winning manager of the month for February. If he can just manage to overtake son Dean in the main table then he will be a happy man. Here's the top 20 straight off the database.
