They say the cream always rises to the top!! After a
season of mid table of mediocrity my FPL team is finally coming
good and in one almighty leap I am now second in the table.
Other big climbers this week were Andy (The Guvnor) da Costa,
Keith (No Looking Back) Blyth and our very own John (Sals
Babes) Salako. It's still very tight and with quite a few
more big weeks to come before the end of the season, there
is sure to be more changes.
A Funny Old Month
Is exacly what January will be with matches all over the place.
This coming weekend is FA Cup 3rd Round week so there are
no matches relevant to the FPL. Therefore the window will
be open from today right up until noon on Saturday 10th January
which will give everyone plenty of time to study the form
and enter their predictions. Watch these emails carefully
for info on when the window will be open as there might be
a few short ones.
The Week Ahead
I had a great set of results on Boxing Day. Normally I always
back my beloved Fulham to win but after three 0-0s in a row
away from home it seemed, to me at least, that it was always
on the cards. In truth I would have been even happier had
we converted one of the chances we had to win the match but
at least I got the next best thing. I'm not sure how many
of you made it to a match over Xmas, but boy was it a cold
one. Boxing Day was bad enough but Sunday at the Cottage was
FREEZING. Our last minute equalizer did help somewhat though..
Leon and I are off to Sheffield on Saturday for our FA Cup
match vs Wednesday. It will be his first trip to Hillsborough
so we are really looking forward to it. I don't think we have
and SW fans playing the FPL this season as no one has got
back to me re parking so I'll have to figure it out for myself.
I'll send another email out next week with a reminder to get
your predictions done and maybe even with some top tips for
the matches. Have a great weekend whoever you are watching.
